
Irvine Math Project (IMP)
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
TRAINING
The Irvine Math Project is available to conduct
standards-based professional development training
tailored to suite your district's and individual
teacher's needs. The length of professional
development programs vary from half-day to two-week
training that can be done all at once or disbursed
throughout the year.
FOLLOW-UP TRAINING SESSIONS
The Irvine Math Project conducts follow-up sessions
in order to provide the opportunity for past
participants to complete their 80-hour follow-up
training. Participants receive a $500 stipend for
completing their follow-up training.
CURRICULUM GUIDE SERVICES
In its dedication to promoting standards-based
instruction, the Irvine Math Project assists
districts in the development of Curriculum Guides.
These Curriculum Guides are designed to assist
teachers in interpreting state standards as well as
guide in the pacing, ordering, and usage of district
adopted texts.

Quarterly Assessment Writing
Curriculum Guide Professional Development Training
CAHSEE TEACHER TRAINING
The goal of the CAHSEE Professional Development
Training is to assist teachers with incorporating
CAHSEE topics into their existing curriculum without
compromising the teaching of grade-level standards.
The length of professional development programs vary
from half-day to one-week training that can be done
all at once or disbursed throughout the year.
FOCUS! TEACHER LEADER CADRE (TLC)
The Teacher Leader Cadre is a major component of the
FOCUS! grant funded by the National Science
Foundation (NSF). The Irvine Math Project supports
the TLC by providing training for mathematics
teacher leaders from partner districts. The goal of
the program is to train teachers to utilize their
knowledge of the staff and students to deliver
relevant and effective professional development at

SATURDAY
ACADEMY IN MATHEMATICS (SAM)
The Irvine Math Project develops
standards based
curriculum
and conducts teacher training for the Saturday
Academy in Mathematics. SAM works with several
partner
districts to provide
middle and high school students extra support in
their current subjects. The program is designed so
that teachers are working with students for 4 hours
for approximately 6
Saturdays during the school year. The program
currently covers Pre-Algebra, Algebra, & Geometry.
