The Upward Bound program at UCI is a federal educational support services provider. Our mission is to help students succeed in school so that they will be able to accomplish their goal of going to college. After school tutoring by current UCI undergraduates is one of the critical services Upward Bound offers its student participants to ensure their success.

- Become a tutor for the Upward Bound program at UCI
- Earn money and gain valuable experience working directly with first generation and low income high school students, helping them succeed in school to accomplish their goals of going to college.

How to Apply?

- Must be a current UCI undergraduate student.
- Must be at least Sophomore standing.
- Minimum 2.500 GPA
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have access to a car and be willing to drive to school sites in Anaheim
- Must enjoy working with high school aged students
- Must be willing to learn from the experience

- Up to 8 hours per week
- Available tutoring sessions:
- Monday - Friday
- Afternoon Session:
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- Evening Session:
5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Starting rate: $9.00/hr
