May 27, 2009 MESA budget update.
We are optimistic that the state support for the MESA program will continue so that we can continue to provide services to many students and continue to produce future professionals in math, science, and engineering.

May 11, 2009 State Championship: Multi-Task Trebuchet
Our middle and high school teams competed in the State finals for the trebuchet competition this past Saturday May 9 at CSU Fresno. Both Roosevelt MS and Garden Grove HS performed awesome and both came away with 2nd place overall! Let's congratulate them for their hard work and dedication, and we look forward to next year's national competition: the Windmill!!

May 5, 2009 Robotics Update
The specifications of the supply box have been updated. It will weigh approximately 25 grams and will be made of balsawood. This change was made to allow the motors to perform accurately and to prevent them from being damaged from a heavy load. Be sure to download the revised rules.

May 2, 2009 CORRECTION: Robotics
The dimensions of the pedestal were incorrectly given. The correct dimensions are 1 7/8" x 1 7/8" for the base and 2.5" for the height. The current rules reflect this change.

May 1, 2009 Closing Ceremony Robotics Challenge - Updated Rules
The competion rules for the MS and HS robotics challenge have been updated. Please download the latest version here and our PROJECTS section. The date at the bottom of the rules should say "5/1/09". The major update now gives teams the option to pick the supply box up from the ground or from a pedestal raised 2.5". Contact us if you have any questions. Good luck!!
